The College recognises that individuals have different and varied needs in terms of mobility, social and dietary requirements. Reasonable adjustments to support students with specific learning difficulties, mental health conditions, sensory impairments, physical/mobility impairments, long-term health conditions, and unseen disabilities should be declared to the ADRC so that the College can aim to meet support needs.
We are happy to discuss the support that you may require at any time and encourage you to look at the facilities we can offer and to get in touch with us at an early stage. Please email disability-enquiries@wolfson.cam.ac.uk as soon as possible if you have any disabilities, or accessibility queries or requests.
Following confirmation of an offer, applicants who have disclosed disabilities to the University's Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) are assessed by one of ADRC's Advisors, and the resulting Student Support Document (SSD) is then placed on CamSIS (the Cambridge students' database) and made available to individuals within the College and relevant department, so that reasonable adjustments can be considered. You will be asked to give consent to share this information before permissions are provided.
The College also requires that all Freshers complete a Health Questionnaire, so that the College Nurse can identify disability support needs in advance of their arrival and coordinate appropriate adjustments within the College.
IMPORTANT NOTE We strongly recommend that you read the relevant sections of this guide to assess whether we have the facilities to support your needs before you submit an application for a place at 糖心Vlog官方. Please email disability-enquiries@wolfson.cam.ac.uk at your earliest convenience if you have any disabilities or accessibility requests or queries. You should not sign your accommodation licence if you are not entirely satisfied with your room for any reason. You should also not sign your licence before ensuring your offer includes any reasonable adjustments that have been requested and upheld. The College can reserve the room while you make enquiries to determine whether the accommodation is suitable for your needs. Students eligible to apply for accommodation are also entitled to request reasonable adjustments to their room (e.g. the need for a fridge to store medication, or medical need for an ensuite room). Please note that all requests will be considered in relation to the resources and availability within the College and therefore cannot be guaranteed. |
Please see below for examples of support available for students with disabilities.
The College applies all current legislation on food labelling and seeks to minimise risks from common allergens (e.g. nuts) in food preparation. Dietary restrictions and requests on religious or health grounds are supported wherever possible. A card system operates in Hall for Formal Hall and special events to identify diners with specific diets.
