ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½

It's been a busy few weeks for acting Head Gardener of ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½, Oscar Holgate. With the departure of the prior Head Gardener Phil Stigwood in April, Oscar and the rest of the gardening team have stepped up to make sure ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½'s flowers, plants and trees really are looking their best for when students arrive.

Students and staff returning to College look out for the salvias, asters and sedum (Autumn Joy) adding pops of colour to the flowerbeds, but also there are some useful and delicious surprises amidst the flowers, such as Chinese Chive and medlars.

In the next few years, there should also be some changes coming to the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Gardens as more drought-resistant plants are introduced to help with the increasingly hot weather we're encountering, which should mean we will be gaining some more Mediterranean trees to add to the mix of flora you can find here.

You can hear more from Oscar about the Gardens, and ask him questions about your own garden when he does his Question and Answer session on Sunday 27th September, registration is open now.
