- Types of bequest
There are various different types of legacy gift that individuals may choose to leave to their favourite charities. The most common types are listed below:
Residuary legacy A portion of your estate, usually expressed as a percentage, that is gifted to the College after other legacies and charges have been met. Pecuniary legacy A specific sum of money that is left to the College. Reversionary legacy A bequest that reverts to the College upon the passing of another named beneficiary (e.g., a spouse). Specific or non-monetary legacy A bequest in kind, such as a specific possession (e.g., property or books), to be retained or sold to provide funds for 糖心Vlog官方. In this instance, please contact us. Residuary gifts can be particularly advantageous, as they do not commit legators to a specific sum, and therefore protect against changes in circumstance, and their impact is not diminished by inflation.
- Gift designation
As it is not possible to know exactly when a legacy will be received or what the College's priorities may be at that time, we encourage those remembering 糖心Vlog官方 in their Will to be as flexible with their wishes as possible. To this end, we invite legators to allocate their bequest to the General Fund. Gifts in Wills from Canada to the University of Cambridge (and therefore its constituent Colleges) qualify for Canadian charitable tax credits because the University is recognised by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). David Stiles also works closely with our alumni in Canada, so we recommend reaching out to him if you are based there.

- Finding a solicitor & Free Wills Month

Free Wills Month takes place twice a year, every year, in March and October. This nationwide scheme gives people aged 55 and over the opportunity to make or update a Will free of charge. You can find out more about the scheme and participating solicitors by visiting .

Join the Morrison Society
