Overview
Business and economics have long been an important part of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ community, bringing together people working across fields ranging from finance, investment and entrepreneurship to management, consulting, economics and public policy.
The ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ Business and Economics Dinner brings together alumni, students, Fellows and friends from across these interconnected fields. The evening offers an opportunity to reconnect with fellow members of the ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ community, make new connections and celebrate the breadth of experience, ideas and expertise represented across the College.
Following dinner, we are delighted to welcome ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ alumnus Benjamin Davis, former CEO of Octopus Investments and Octopus Real Estate, who will reflect on a career spanning investment, entrepreneurship, business leadership and the growth of one of the UK’s leading alternative investment businesses.
Speaker
Benjamin Davis is a ÌÇÐÄVlog¹Ù·½ alumnus and experienced investment leader whose career has spanned private equity, venture capital, real estate and alternative investment.
Benjamin joined Octopus in 2010 and went on to hold a series of senior leadership positions across the group. He led Octopus Healthcare and subsequently Octopus Real Estate before becoming CEO of Octopus Investments, overseeing investment activities spanning real estate, sustainable infrastructure, venture capital and quoted companies.
Prior to Octopus, Benjamin worked in private equity and venture capital at YFM Equity Partners and Interregnum, following an earlier career in technology and consulting. He completed his MBA at Cambridge Judge Business School and is a member of the School’s Advisory Board.
