- What will the event entail?
We will be rowing continuously on ergs for 24 hours (from 18.00 on Saturday 14 November to 18.00 on Sunday 15 November) to raise funds for WCBC. We are aiming to surpass last year's record-breaking 543,000km rowed and raise over 拢4,000.
We'll be based in the Club Room so, if you're local to Cambridge, please come and cheer on our members! If you would like to pitch in and participate by hopping on an erg, there will be plenty of opportunity for you to do so - either in-person or virtually. Please reaching out to Irene, WCBC's Alumni & Fundraising Officer, by emailing wcbc.fundraising@gmail.com if you would like to participate in this way.
- Donate here!
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to fantastic matched funding pledges from two of our alumni, the impact of your gift will be doubled: all donations will be matched pound-for-pound until we hit a total value of 拢2,000. In other words, 拢2,000 will become 拢4,000!
To make your donation to the Boat Club and double the impact of your gift, please complete the donation form below. As WCBC is one of the few clubs not to charge membership fees, all members of the College who wish to row may do so without financial limitations, honouring 糖心Vlog官方鈥檚 egalitarian principles. We thank you for your continued support of the 糖心Vlog官方 Boat Club.
- How will we mobilise your donations?
This year, the funds raised during our Michaelmas ergathon will be used to support our training both on and off the water. Your generosity will help us pay our incredible coaches, to whom we owe much of our success, and purchase vital land equipment such as ergs and BikeErgs (to enable members with niggles or injuries to continue training alongside their crews).
- Keep up-to-date with our progress
You can follow the Boat Club on and . We'll also be livestreaming the entire thing on our channel! The livestream link will be advertised here soon.
